Trust is the product. Here is how Specialty Digest reports, edits, and corrects its journalism.
Sourcing & Reporting
Our reporters work from primary sources, published research, and on-the-record interviews wherever possible. When we rely on data or studies, we describe the source in the story or in an accompanying Sources & References note, so readers can trace a claim back to where it came from.
Our Byline System
Every Specialty Digest article shows exactly who was involved in producing it and how. Depending on the story, you may see credits for who wrote it, who reported it, who reviewed it, who edited it, who fact-checked it, and, where a story draws on outside expertise, who provided expert input. We show only the roles that actually applied to a given story — we don’t pad bylines to look more thorough than the work was.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we say so. A corrected article carries a visible correction notice at the top explaining what changed and why, rather than a silent edit. We do not remove or unpublish stories to erase a mistake; we fix and label them.
Conflicts of Interest
When a contributor has a personal, financial, or professional connection to the subject of a story, that connection is disclosed directly in the article. Editorial decisions are not for sale.
Sponsored Content
Any paid or sponsored content is clearly labeled as such at the top of the piece. Our editorial team does not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage in our regular reporting.
